Points Test PDF Print E-mail

The majority of Skilled Migration Visas are points tested. This means, points are allocated for each visa depending on the prevailing demand and allocation of visas in Australia at any one time. Candidate’s credentials are assessed under 12 criteria and points awarded accordingly. The Points Test is divided into Pass and Pool. Those who pass the points test will be eligible for a visa, while those who reach the Pool mark will be on standby until demand exceeds supply or the Pass mark is lowered. Candidates can remain in the Pool for 2-years before their application is officially refused.
